Location: Reston, VA Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site Salary Range: $175,000 – $190,000 We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer (SME) to join a specialized technical operations team supporting a mission-critical program within the Intelligence Community. This position requires strong expertise across Windows and Linux environments, cloud provisioning, operational security, and the development of technical operations plans. The successful candidate will play a key role in building and maintaining advanced technical capabilities, supporting both operational and mission requirements in a secure and dynamic environment. Application Interested candidates must hold an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance at the time of application. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future. Description Primary Responsibilities: Provide technical operations (Tech Ops) support for mission activities, including system engineering, provisioning, and deployment. Build and configure websites and web pages to support persona-specific environments. Provision and manage cloud services in support of mission requirements. Perform basic software development and scripting to enable mission support. Develop and execute technical operations plans utilizing available tools and tradecraft. Select, integrate, and maintain appropriate technical capabilities to meet evolving requirements. Conduct misattributed procurement, including secure payment mechanisms. Handle and manage operational personas to support mission tradecraft. Ensure OpSec compliance in all activities and develop processes for maintaining operational security. Configure, maintain, and operate VPNs and proxy services, including residential and mobile solutions. Support the use of mobile SIMs and eSIMs for mission purposes. Utilize incident tracking tools such as JIRA to support accountability and process improvement. Communicate effectively—both written and verbal—with stakeholders, team members, and mission partners. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) required. Demonstrated experience with Windows and Linux networking and system administration. Experience with cloud service provisioning and procurement. Experience configuring websites and building web pages for mission use. Demonstrated experience with basic software development. Proven ability to build and execute technical operations plans. Strong understanding of requirements gathering and selecting technical capabilities to meet them. Experience with misattributed procurement and persona identity management. Operational tradecraft expertise, with a focus on OpSec compliance. Hands-on experience with VPNs, proxies, mobile SIMs, and eSIMs. Proficiency with incident tracking tools such as JIRA. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in customer operational spaces, both CONUS and OCONUS. Familiarity with surveillance detection routes. Experience managing and troubleshooting social media accounts for operational purposes. Experience collecting data from social media platforms and other internet-based capabilities. Relevant technical certifications supporting systems engineering, networking, or cloud environments. Eligibility Must hold an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance at the time of application. Must be able to work full-time on-site in Reston, VA. Benefits Salary: Salary for this position is determined based on qualifications, experience, and contract-specific budget considerations.
