Description

Lawn Technician - $55,000/year salary Please apply at this link: https://thefertilizerguy.com/application/?utm_source=craigslist&utm_medium=apply&utm_campaign=lawn-care-technician Are you someone who doesn’t mind getting dirty and sweating it out in the Texas heat? If so, we want you to join our team. We have an incredible opportunity for you to work for one of the fastest growing lawn companies in College Station and get in on the ground floor with me and my small team of high quality individuals. We are not one of those big corporate companies that doesn’t care about you. High quality team members are the core of The Fertilizer Guy and we welcome anyone who is motivated to work out in the blazing heat and be paid well for it. Pay: This job starts at $55,000/year salary plus a $3,600/year health insurance stipend and a $780/year cell phone stipend. Your pay will not stay stagnant here and we will raise you as experience and responsibility are gained. Requirements: No experience required BUT we do require: A Highschool Diploma No criminal record Passing drug test Valid Driver’s License What to Expect: A typical day as a Lawn Technician would involve coming in at 6:30 AM Monday-Friday, filling your truck with the mixture we are spraying that day and getting your equipment ready. You then would be on the road headed to your first stop by 7:00 AM roughly. We systematically walk every lawn pulling a hose with a handgun sprayer on the end. You will be trained to treat lawns in a manner to ensure a consistent pattern and equal coverage across the lawn. The length of your day depends on your route and how efficiently you work, but you should be done and back within an 8 hour time frame on most days, so typically by 2:00-3:30 PM most days. We primarily treat residential lawns with the same types of mixes golf courses and baseball fields use to keep the grass nice and weed free. This job is a lot of daily physical exercise and you can expect to walk anywhere from 7-12 miles per day. If you love working outside, staying in great shape and interacting with customers then this job will be perfect for you! Paid time off is a big pro of this job. It varies a little bit from year to year depending on how staffed we are, weather conditions and other variables, but typically lawn technicians get anywhere from 3-6 weeks of paid time off. One of my favorite quotes: “CLIENTS do not come first. EMPLOYEES come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of the clients.” – Richard Branson Randy Clark, Owner
