Veneer Chip Transport, Inc. VCT is currently looking for a mechanic to service and repair our modern fleet of tractor-trailers in Missoula, MT. This Team Member will need to be a self-starter and highly motivated. This Team Member will need to be able to work safely with others in a shop environment and alone with minimal supervision (we do not micro-manage). Trailer repair will be the primary job duties, occasionally the team member will repair trucks as necessary. Working knowledge of Class 8 tractor and trailer systems (minimal engine knowledge is required) Ability to diagnose and repair drive train, suspension, brake systems and minor electrical systems. Ability to move equipment around property and into the shop (Class A CDL preferred but not required) Ability to move from one repair in process to another and return to original repair.
