Handyman/Carpenter/Carpenter Apprentice (Kailua Kona, HI) compensation: $25 to $55 Depending on experience, whether you are tooled up and if your vehicle can carry you, your tools and materials to a job site. employment type: Casual or part time Local small contractor is looking to team up with a reliable and experienced handyman/carpenter/apprentice to assist on larger projects. Tasks include assisting on a wide variety of construction projects, remodels, flooring jobs, remodels kitchen and bath, all forms of carpentry, fencing, door and window installation, trim installation, drywall repair/installation, deck installs/repairs, etc. We are looking for candidates who have at least some prior experience or training, however we are willing to train the right person. Right now we have large projects we need assistance with in Kona Town(many carpentry projects including door and window installs, siding replacement, additions, deck and stair repairs, etc) Applicant should possess strong communication and collaboration skills. A valid driver’s license, dependable transportation (including current registration and insurance) is required along with a cell phone. The position is as an Independent Contractor (1099) and compensation is commensurate with experience and can be discussed upon interview.
