Part Time Female Specimen Collector   Location: Tacoma, WA Schedule: Part-Time | Monday, Wednesday, Friday 11:00am-2:00pm (9 hours/week) Seeking: Female candidates required for observed collections of gender identified female patients.   Help make a positive impact in your community!  Millennium Health LLC is an accredited specialty laboratory with more than a decade of experience in medication monitoring and drug testing services, helping clinicians monitor use of prescription medications and illicit drugs supporting improved clinical decision-making as part of treatment for millions of Americans with chronic pain, mental illness, and substance use disorders.   The Specimen Collector is a key role at Millennium Health.  As our representative, this position provides exemplary care and exceptional customer service to patients, clinicians, and our laboratory.   As a Specimen Collector:  Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens  Process and package collections for shipping Serve as an intermediary between the practice / clinic and the laboratory  Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite  Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable) Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required Requirements Ideal Candidate:   6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years of experience in the medical field, directly supporting patients preferred 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience Demonstrated ability to navigate a smart phone and computer required Valid driver’s license required Medical insurance/billing and/or familiarity with medications/diagnostic codes is a plus Ability to ensure HIPAA, HiTrust, Confidentiality and Compliance policy, procedures, and standards are always adhered to.  Ability to ensure administrative, physical and technical cyber security controls are always adhered to High School diploma or equivalent required Physical requirements: sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lbs.   Millennium Health is a CLIA Certified and CAP Accredited specialty laboratory. They will work under the direction of the Program Coordinator to uphold the highest standard for all people receiving services. Pay Rate: $21.50 an hour Schedule: Sunday & Thursday 8am-4pm, Monday through Wednesday 12pm-8pm (40h), some flexibility required Key Responsibilities Shift set up and planning through the use of effective communication, shift-planning sheets and regular updates with the Floating Supervisor. Maintaining program scheduling and ensuring staffing ratios are adequate at all times. Monitor substance counts, medication ordering, posting and verifying of medications. Monitoring of money counts, petty cash and check requests with the oversight of the Program Coordinator. Work with the program coordinator to hire, onboard, and train new employees. Monitor daily tracking for medications, ISP goal tracking, behavior tracking, and mobility exercise. Ensure that all medical appointments, therapies, visiting nurse appointments and community dates are met.  Model positive participant engagement and advocacy while balancing direct support and opportunities for independence. Reports of all maintenance issues as appropriate to the Program Coordinator. Communicate and report in a timely manner all issues, concerns or incidents to the Program Coordinator.
