Sparrow Woodworks, a high-end homebuilder on the Kitsap Peninsula, is looking for a carpenter to join its growing team. Competitive applicants will have experience in multiple phases of the building process, from site work and rough carpentry to window setting, cabinet installation and interior trim. Working under a superintendent and typically with a helper, carpenter will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy, executing the highest level of detail cleanly, efficiently and safely. Most work will take place at job sites in Kitsap and neighboring counties, with the potential for some shop work Desired qualifications: 5+ years carpentry experience desired Experience working with a helper in a new-build environment - thinking ahead, communicating well, keeping ‘big-picture awareness’ Experience with modern build details a plus, including but not limited to: prepping trimless drywall reveals and jambs, framing for flush/trimless floor transitions, installing wood and steel paneling, and architectural soffits/drop ceilings Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings Our work environment includes: - Equal opportunity employer - PTO, Health and retirement packages for all full-time employees - Fun-loving teams with a culture of craft - Growth opportunities - Competitive wages and bi-weekly pay by direct deposit
