Position Overview: We are seeking a friendly, talented and experienced picture framer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an eye for detail, art, design, and a passion for and commitment to producing high quality work. This role requires a blend of artistic sensibility and technical expertise, ensuring that each piece is designed and framed with precision and care. This is a part time position in Issaquah, WA, no remote work. Key Responsibilities: Measure and cut mat board, foam board, glass, acrylic, gator board, cardboard etc. Assemble custom frames using professional-level techniques and materials Mount artwork using conservation techniques Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Use mitre saws, underpinners, chop saws, pneumatic staple guns, nail guns, etc. Assemble stretcher bars and stretch canvases, needlepoint, etc. Qualifications & Skills: 2+ years experience as a picture framer Strong knowledge of framing techniques, tools, and materials Ability to read and interpret simple technical drawings and designs Excellent critical thinking and customer service skills Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and provide recommendations for frame styles, materials, and finishes Ability to be productive independently and collaboratively within a team environment Physical ability to lift and move fairly heavy materials (50 lbs), including large and/or fragile art, frames, boxes of glass, etc. Compensation: We offer base pay (rate depends on experience) plus sales commission and tips.
