Construction - Sales (San Diego)

Banning and Son Inc., a San Diego-based, home remodeling company with over 25 years of experience, is currently seeking a Sales Person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We are looking for someone that wants to build a life-long connection with the Banning and Son team. We strive to provide high quality home remodeling services for a variety of local customers. Duties will include meeting with potential clients for remodeling consultations. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of home remodeling and design, and also superb organizational skills to track the progress of the projects. Previous experience working in the construction industry or trades is required. Duties and Responsibilities: ● Having consultations and creating estimates for prospective clients. ● Preparing and submitting estimates for prospective clients. ● Visiting clients and conducting in-home consultations. ● Knowledge of in home plumbing, electrical work and layout to conceptualize and communicate the feasibility of their project ● Answering client questions about all things related to remodeling and our processes for completing projects. ● Understanding and promoting the value of Banning and Son Inc, showing our commitment to quality, craftsmanship and customer satisfaction, earning the customers trust and confidence in our company and services. Requirements: ● 2+ years’ experience working in the construction industry, preferably as a skilled laborer or tradesman. ● EXPERIENCE WORKING IN CONSTRUCTION OR TRADES IS A MUST. ● Understanding of the sales process and dynamics. ● A commitment to excellent customer service. ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ● Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport and relationships with prospective clients. ● Communicate to prospective clients in a understandable and clear way ● Strong people skills with friendly demeanor ● Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and the ability to recommend solutions. ● Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed sales targets. ● Experience using computers for a variety of tasks. ● Outstanding organizational skills ● Strong attention to detail. ● Competency in office applications and a Google based environment. Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
