I’m looking for a careful, reliable art and photography assistant to help with projects in my San Jose studio. This role is open to students or early-career assistants eager to gain experience, as well as professionals with prior art/photography work. What you’ll do: • Photograph and catalogue artworks (paintings, prints, photos). • Help organize digital files and prepare online listings (Shopify, Saatchi, etc.). • Assist with light studio organization and project prep. • Handle artworks with care and precision. Who you are: • Background in art and/or photography (student training, freelance, or professional). • Awareness of the art world and its “ins and outs” is very helpful. • Precise, neat, and detail-oriented. • Affable, reliable, and easy to work with. Details: • Location: San Jose, CA • Initial project: 4–6 hours of work, with potential for ongoing support. • Compensation: Based on experience (fair rate for students / professional rates for experienced assistants). This includes inspecting and testing automobiles by using mechanical testing devices, questioning customers about the vehicle's performance or by visual inspection of the vehicle. The Estimator also prepares itemized work orders, listing the cost of parts and labor. You will pair up with a customer service representative who does all the correspondence with the customer - you just write the estimates!
