Canepa is looking for an experienced automotive technician to join our team! Job Duties include but are not limited to: • Engine diagnostics and troubleshooting • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including the engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and more • Perform engine diagnostics and troubleshooting to ensure optimal engine performance • Tune automotive engines for optimal performance • Communicate with the Shop Foreman about necessary repairs and provide time estimates Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic, with a focus on performance tuning and diagnostics • Proficient in operating Dynapack and other chassis dynamometers for performance testing and tuning • Knowledgeable in electronic fuel injection system development, diagnosis, and troubleshooting • Experience with basic internal engine repair, rebuilds, and setup procedures • Expertise in turbocharger, wastegate, and intercooler system development and tuning • Strong electrical experience, including working with automotive electrical systems and wiring • Basic computer and internet skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Available to work full-time (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday), with willingness to work overtime when needed Preferred: • Strong expertise in MoTeC and other engine management system tuning and calibration for high-performance and exotic vehicles • Experience working on Porsche vehicles, including performance upgrades and system tuning Our Benefits Include: • Medical, Dental, and Vision • Paid Vacation • 401K Job Title: Tuning Technician Job Type: Full-time Compensation: starts at $35/hour BOE This is a non-exempt, hourly position.
