ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Works closely with Facilities Management. Prepares computer based schedules, supervises and monitors the work of department personnel to ensure compliance with daily work schedules, directives, procedures and established safety rules and regulations. Conducts in-service training for all MHCUC staff and maintains records of such training. Training and retraining of new and current employees. Works closely the Community Relations Coordinator to ensure that all MHCUC events are set up according to requests. Works closely with the Admissions Department to ensure all unoccupied rooms are ready and up to standard prior to scheduled move-ins. Works closely with the Recreation Services Department and the Dining Services Department to ensure that all regular events are set up according to requests. Attends and participates in workshops, seminars as approved, all mandatory inservices which will aid in a better understanding of maintenance and supervisory procedures. Ensures sufficient inventory of supplies and materials is maintained necessary for the ongoing operation of the departments. Prepares schedule to clean the inside of windows and the outside of windows which are easily accessible. Maintains outside terraces. Schedules janitor to prepare supplies and deliver them to appropriate floors. Inspects supplies for weekend housekeeper and janitor to ensure an adequate supply for the performance of duties. Prepares work assignments in order to maintain the interior of the main Residential Buildings. Ensures all deliveries of housekeeping supplies are properly maintained and stored. Reports equipment malfunction or breakdown as soon as possible. Reports all incidents, accidents, unsafe and ha7.ardous equipment or conditions immediately. Follows established safety rules and procedures. Perform Evaluations and Performance Reviews for all EVS staff. Daily Kronos tracking for all EVS staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE 5 years of progressive experience in housekeeping or professional cleaning services duties at a hotel or residential facility or concierge service industry. Ability to keep records of inventory and supplies. Supervisory experience is essential. Ability to read, speak and write clearly in English. General Summary: Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the daily maintenance activities of the plant and ensuring the plant is maintained in a safe and efficient operating condition.
