Position Overview Infleqtion is poised for significant growth as we prepare for our transition to a publicly traded company. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and supporting our transformation into a world-class public company. Reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing journal entries, performing monthly account reconciliations, and supporting the month-end close process. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the foundational accounting processes of a high-growth company and directly influence our path to becoming a public entity. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. Perform detailed monthly account reconciliations and investigate and resolve all reconciling items in a timely manner. Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure all deadlines are met and financial data is complete and accurate. Conduct financial statement analysis to identify trends and variances, providing insights to the accounting and finance leadership team. Collaborate with the Technical Accounting Manager and Director of Financial Reporting to implement new accounting policies and treatments. Serve as a key liaison to other departments, assisting with operational questions and providing accounting guidance on business transactions. Support the preparation of audit schedules and act as a key point of contact for external auditor requests during the annual audit. Assist in documenting and improving internal controls and processes to meet Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance standards. Provide ad hoc analysis and support to the broader accounting and finance team as needed. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA or CPA candidate is strongly preferred. 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with a mix of public accounting and industry experience. Prior experience in a public company setting or with IPO readiness is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting. Demonstrated experience with monthly close processes, account reconciliations, and journal entry preparation. A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team. Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is highly preferred.
