The Opportunity: Total Life is currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Associate Clinical Social Work (ASW) Intern in the state of California who is looking to fill their clinical hours for licensure by providing virtual individual therapy under a supervisor. The successful candidate must have proven experience working with seniors suffering from anxiety, depression, grief and loss, loneliness, life transition, medication/pain management, and end-of-life planning. Your Role: Provide clinical and therapeutic services to individuals according to discipline standards and in accordance with policies and procedures. Completing individualized biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes within 24-48 hours. Maintain confidentiality of electronic health records (EHR) that are in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and other federal and state regulations. Remain up to date with clinical knowledge and treatment modalities. Demonstrates understanding of sound ethical practice. Complete and maintain all required continuing education requirements for specific licensure and specializations. Be aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary. Follow all safety protocols as set out by National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics. Requirements Master’s degree from an accredited university or college in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or in a related human services field. Must be license eligible in the state of California (Board of Social Work) or have an active Associate License within the state of California. Maintain and be in good standing with the California Board of Health and all appropriate professional board entities. Must possess and provide proof of professional liability insurance/malpractice insurance or will need to purchase a policy prior to hiring. Maintain current liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 claim limit/$3,000,000 aggregate. Ability to efficiently use web-based systems for quality review of records and work performed. Must be comfortable providing teletherapy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong relational and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with colleagues, as well as those providing administrative support. General Description: This position is primarily focused on completion of the hiring process, contracting, travel and logistics requirements for inbound crew members to O’Hara’s fleet of fishing vessels. These duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating, and implementing onboarding and crew rotation, completing required employment documentation and arranging travel and lodging. This position also maintains and provides onboarding metrics and data to vessel management. As a Crew Coordinator, there is constant interaction with all levels of corporate and vessel management. Essential Duties & Job Functions: Processes and onboards crew members for work onboard O’Hara’s catcher processor vessels. Track all vessel’s active crew list and rotation schedule. Provide weekly reports to vessel management. Work with third party vendors to arrange travel and lodging to accommodate crew movement. Work with individual crew members and purchasing department to set up gear orders made by the vessel. Work with management to continuously improve the hiring and onboarding process. Provide support and back-up to the O’Hara employment staff by assisting with customer service, completing paperwork, filing, data-entry, and coverage of phones, as needed.
