One Royal Culture Short Story We have a current opening for a Prefab Tech at our Sacramento, CA office. The Prefab Tech will work with the prefabrication team to perform accurate and detailed assemblies, per drawings and specs, for various projects. Responsibilities Prefabrication Tasks Follow work plans based on SOP’s and job specifications. Perform material counts and track changes throughout the prefab process. Use time management skills to track and record tasks. Understand how to properly use hand tools and power tools. Ensure all tools are properly cleaned, maintaining, and inspecting before and after each use. Create items, assemblies, components, and products to Royal quality standards. Ensure Royal QC is implemented on all products. Ability to understand plans, details, and panel schedules. Ability to create and track material counts and take offs. Learn the electrical trade Learn different work plans based on SOP’s and job specifications. Strive to learn the different materials utilized in the electrical construction industry. Learn various electrical construction techniques, procedures, and standards in order to grow in the construction industry. Safety Tasks Understand and follow Royal Safety procedures Wear appropriate PPE at all times on the shop floor. Utilize appropriate PPE for the task at hand. Be safety conscious and report to supervisors any safety violations or issues. Prepare materials and products for safe transportation. Safe and proper use of hand tools and power tools. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Identify damage to equipment and materials. Inspect all tools and equipment before use for any damage. Attend weekly safety meetings and daily stretch and flex. Material Management Receive and organize materials. Unload and stock material. Prepare materials for pick up. Safety & Physical Requirements Proper use of PPE Must comply with all safety standards and procedures. Will lift, carry, push, bend, pull, kneel, and reach. The Electrical Compliance Engineer ensures that electrical products, systems, and processes meet applicable regulatory, safety, and quality standards. This role involves conducting compliance testing, preparing technical documentation, and liaising with certification bodies to maintain adherence to international, national, and industry-specific standards (such as IEC, HUD, NEC, IPC, ISO, IBC, UL, NFPA). Job Duties: Serve as the primary liaison with state modular building authorities and inspection agencies. Ensure products and manufacturing practices comply with state-specific industrialized/modular building program requirements. Oversee state submittals, plan approvals, audits, and renewal processes across multiple jurisdictions Manage all UL certification efforts and maintain compliance with applicable UL safety and performance standards. Coordinate product testing, factory audits, certification renewals, and technical documentation with third-party testing agencies. Ensure UL markings, documentation, and test records are accurate and traceable. Lead internal compliance audits across engineering, manufacturing, quality control, and service departments. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to support consistent execution of compliance policies. Interpret and ensure compliance with relevant codes, including IBC, NEC, HUD, NFPA, and other state or federal regulations. Monitor changes in applicable laws and building codes; disseminate updates to affected departments. Provide guidance on regulatory impacts for new products, features, or processes. Advanced degree or certifications preferred. 5+ years progressive experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or quality management, preferably in modular construction, manufacturing, or related industries. Demonstrated experience working with UL standards, state modular building programs, and regulatory agencies.
