Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. Vacuum, steam-clean and/or shampoo carpets. Sweep, mop, strip, seal, finish, and/or polish floors. Clean laboratory equipment, such as glassware and metal instruments, using solvents, brushes, rags, and power cleaning equipment. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage. Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks. Notify the immediate supervisor of all facility-related items at the assigned site. Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas as needed. Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. Office and home are located in the same building in the heart of beautiful downtown Cardiff-by-the-Sea. Ideal candidate would be a responsible self-starter with strong organizational skills and a talent for nurturing home, people and plants. Must have a dependable car and good driving record. Must have cooking skills. Must also have a knowledge of plants and watering/care requirements of various plant varieties.
