Overview Dane Street, a nationally recognized Independent Review Organization (IRO) and leading provider of Utilization Review (UR) services, is expanding its expert physician panel. We are currently seeking Board-Certified Pain Management Physicians with an active Mississippi medical license to perform independent medical reviews on a fully remote, flexible schedule. This non-clinical, contract-based opportunity is ideal for pain specialists interested in earning supplemental income while maintaining their clinical practice. Position Details Specialty: Pain Management / Interventional Pain Medicine License Requirement: Active, unrestricted Mississippi medical license Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor Location: Fully Remote / Telework Compensation: Paid per case (most take 15–20 minutes to review) Scheduling: You set your own hours and case volume Start Date: Onboarding and training typically completed within 1 week Key Responsibilities Review medical records and treatment requests for medical necessity Provide objective, evidence-based decisions on appealed or disputed cases Deliver detailed, written reports — no direct patient care involved Complete all casework securely through Dane Street’s online portal Required Qualifications Board Certification in Pain Medicine (via Anesthesiology, PM&R, or Neurology pathways) Active and unrestricted Mississippi Medical License Current involvement in clinical practice Strong written communication and analytical skills Experience applying clinical guidelines and evidence-based standards (e.g., ODG, ACOEM, FSMB guidelines) Why Partner with Dane Street?
