Avant Tech is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Material Manager to oversee our procurement, inventory management, and logistics for construction materials used in various projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that all materials needed for construction activities are available, compliant with project specifications, and delivered on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction materials management, excellent organizational skills, and a keen ability to foster relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Manage the sourcing, procurement, and delivery of construction materials for multiple projects. Maintain inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess while optimizing cost-efficiency. Manage the full lifecycle of field services engineering projects and laboratory operations. Lead a team of CMT engineers, project managers, and technicians. Ensure projects adhere to CMT engineering best practices, safety standards, and quality control procedures. Collaborate with project managers and field teams to determine material needs and schedules. Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality products. Conduct regular audits of material inventory and assess the quality of materials received. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations relevant to construction materials. Develop and implement strategies for more efficient materials management. Requirements Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is a MUST At least 8 years of related engineering experience, including conducting laboratory testing, construction observation, field quality assurance testing, site grading, and supervising construction materials testing. Will accept 4 years of experience + military background 2 years of people management experience (can be overlooked if military background) Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills. Strong technical knowledge of testing procedures and specifications. Experience with budgets, forecasts, and financial management.
