Position Summary: This position will play a critical role in promoting a safe and healthy work environment, reducing environmental impacts, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.  This role demands strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.  You’ll be part of a team environment – working directly with the EHS, Corporate, Region, and other supporting leadership.  You are accountable for helping create, develop, and administer the EHS strategy and operating rhythms.  You are encouraged to be innovative and collaborative. Overview: The EHS Manager provides leadership within the Region locations and its functional framework, while partnering with TRP Leaders to establish vision and strategy and advance a culture of EHS throughout these locations.  Will develop and oversee comprehensive EHS programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a strong culture within an organization.  The role will also provide technical and compliance expertise, support the day-to-day region operations of health and safety, and ensure proper reporting practices of all injuries, health and safety concerns, environmental regulatory compliance, audit/inspection corrective actions, safety matters, and motor vehicle collisions. The EHS Manager should possess skills to effectively manage workplace safety, promote a culture of health and safety, and ensure compliance with regulations.  These skills include in-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, risk assessment, safety compliance, communication skills, and more.  This position is an integral part of the TRP organization, ensuring the well-being of employees and the environment while meeting regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Support TRP with establishing the “ROAD TO ZERO” safety culture by working closely with the EHS Leadership Team to implement proactive methods to drive the EHS programs, policies, and procedures through your assigned region. Responsible for implementing and maintaining EHS policies, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards. Identifying potential EHS hazards within the workplace is a fundamental duty.  Conduct risk assessments to evaluate and mitigate these risks Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement corrective and preventative measures to prevent their reoccurrence. Provide EHS training and education to employees and management to enhance awareness and understanding of EHS policies and procedures Oversee environmental initiatives, such as waste management, recycling, and sustainability efforts, is crucial to minimize the TRP environmental impact. Maintain safety programs, including emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and safety drills. Regular EHS audits and inspections are conducted to ensure compliance, and reports are prepared for both management and regulatory authorities. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of EHS incidents, training sessions, inspections, and other relevant data is essential. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, human resources, and fleet to integrate EHS practices into daily operations. Continuous monitoring of EHS performance, trend analysis, and the implementation of improvements are key to enhancing safety and environmental performance. Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies, representing the company during EHS inspections and audits. Develop and lead emergency response procedures, ensuring that employees are well-prepared to respond effectively to emergencies. Oversee EHS requirements for on-site contractors and vendors is necessary to ensure their compliance with safety regulations. Identify cost-effective solutions for EHS initiatives and equipment purchases. Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes is vital to keep EHS programs current and effective.   Requirements Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field required.  Master’s Degree is preferred. 6-9 years of work experience in the EHS field Professional EHS certifications are preferred. 4 years of leadership responsibility. 4 years of multi-site responsibility. Extensive knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance standards. Proven track record of successful EHS program development and implementation. Strong leadership and team management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in the development and implementation of an EHS Management System Proficient skills in Microsoft Office software applications, software management systems, EHS management systems and reporting platforms.
