About the Role As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll take ownership of designing, building, and testing hardware systems from the ground up. You’ll be a key contributor to developing Grounded’s next-generation vehicle platform, combining technical rigor with creativity to solve complex engineering challenges. What You’ll Do Design, analyze, build, and test mechanical, electrical, thermal, and plumbing systems for Grounded’s vehicle platform. Develop next-gen vehicle systems that push the limits of specialty vehicles. Create/manage complex CAD models and drawings in Siemens NX. Fabricate prototype and production parts using hands-on skills. Develop new manufacturing methods and source innovative materials. Write technical documentation and define requirements for diverse use cases. Lead design reviews and conduct data-driven trade studies. Mentor technicians and junior engineers in design/manufacturing best practices. Provide direct, one-on-one ABA therapy in clients’ homes. Maintain a safe, positive, and professional therapeutic environment. Collect accurate data during sessions and document client progress. Participate in regular supervision and training to ensure fidelity of ABA practices. Collaborate with BCBAs, families, and our coordination team to promote skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required); some college coursework in ABA, psychology, education, or related fields (preferred). Current RBT certification (preferred but not required; training support available). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards. Reliable transportation to clients’ homes. Availability to work primarily after-school hours (weekday afternoons/evenings- 3pm-8pm); some weekend availability preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
