Certified Lead Medical Biller and Administrative Assistant – Experience Required Busy single-physician medical practice is seeking experienced, certified lead medical biller for busy medical practice to perform medical billing, some bookkeeping and accounting duties, and miscellaneous administrative tasks. Occasionally, this job will also require filling in for medical assistants and the duties of a medical assistant. Applicant must possess and maintain current certification as a medical biller and should have a minimum of three years of experience in medical billing. Duties include, but are not limited to, entering and submitting bills to Medicare, Tricare, and private insurance providers along with patients, and other parties, posting payments, reconciling billing, preparing and submitting appeals, collections, contract negotiations, etc. Prior experience as a medical coder or medical assistant is not sufficient background for this position. Applicants must be computer proficient with good interpersonal skills, well-organized, and capable of problem solving and multi-tasking. The position will also involve miscellaneous administrative duties in support of physician. Good pay and benefits, including health insurance. Employer is looking for a long-term employee.
