Assists in medical follow-up and in any special medical screenings (i.e. glaucoma, etc.). Participates in the certification of staff for AMAP in semi-annual recertification. Requisitions and maintains medical equipment and supplies. Conducts group sessions in such programs as weight control, diabetes, hypertension, nutrition, and other related areas as may be appropriate. Assess the ability of clients to self-medicate. Assists in maintaining and updating related medical charts. Provides oversight to AMAP-certified staff. Utilizes Universal Precautions. The College Success Office provides year-round academic, administrative, and emotional support as well as financial and career preparation to participants of HCZ’s Promise Academy high schools and afterschool programs.
