SUMMARY Immediate opening for a drivers helper for our San Diego Branch Office who is familiar with warehouse operations but mainly would helping a driver with various activities like loading and unloading material, scraping pallets, cleaning warehouse... The ideal candidate is a team player with a can-do, positive attitude. Regular duties include picking up order from vendors, loading trucks and providing excellent customer service at each delivery location. Warehouse duties are assigned. DRIVER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: DRIVERS HELPER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •Pulling and stocking material, cycle counts and warehouse cleaning/maintenance; •Ability to read invoices, measurements, work as a team and follow directions from management; •Forklift experience a plus; help driver load/unload tile and slab @warehouse and on job sites •Other duties as assigned ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS (both positions, include): •Ability to lift 60 lbs., push/pull 50 lbs., and move a dolly loaded with up to 260 lbs.; •Ability to work in all weather conditions and stand for extended periods of time while performing physical labor. WORK ENVIRONMENT Candidates functions in a construction environment. While performing duties, our employees are occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, saws, heavy equipment and outdoor and indoor weather conditions. EDUCATION AND/OTHER QUALIFICATIONS •Punctual, reliable, accurate and detail oriented; and •Knowledge of signage goods, equipment and products (preferred) SUCCESSFUL COMPETENCY FACTORS Apply DMV laws/regulations, familiar with safety protocol, use of good judgment, problem solving, decision making, communication skills and ability to follow directions from managers. We run crews seven days a week, with the possible opportunity to work up to 5 days per week for each crew member. You will need to report to our warehouse in San Diego next to the Sports Arena and go out to jobs from there in our work vehicles. Shift hours vary from 2-14 hour shifts, depending on the nature of the job (There is mandatory overtime on some days, and we pay 1.5x for any hours worked over 8 hour per day, and/or over 40 hrs per week). Day shifts and night shifts are available as we run crews nearly 24/7.
