Responsibilities of a Porter ❖ Conduct the daily cleaning and housekeeping of the interior of the work shop and offices. This includes the daily emptying of the waste cans, sweeping of the floors, disposing of old unwanted car parts, cleaning the spray booth and placing tools and equipment in their proper location. ❖ Assist CSR's when pulling up vehicles for customer deliveries. ❖ Manage parking availability by distributing vehicles dropped-off for repairs to its assigned Technician. ❖ Assist or provide customers ride home when needed. ❖ Be willing to run errands and make pick-ups and deliveries as needed. ❖ Provide a list of supplies to CSR for necessary cleaning materials. ❖ Maintain a good work attitude and cooperate with managers and fellow employees in a positive spirit of teamwork. ❖ Expected to wear uniforms provided especially when taking customers home. ❖ Checks and replaces exterior lighting on a regular basis. ❖ Maintains awareness of proper safety precautions at all times. ❖ Constantly observes condition of lot throughout working hours and immediately reports and/or initiates action to correct unsafe conditions. ❖ Ensures that storage areas always remain locked when not in use. Detail Technician Responsibilities ➢ Complete all repair assignments according to the instructions of the Production Manager. ➢ Give extra attention to any special promises or notes, and if any discrepancies are found notify the appropriate person immediately. ➢ Protect the customer's car to prevent damage during the repairs. This includes but is not limited to seat bags, floor mats, car covers, welding blankets, masking paper, or any other practical method that yields positive results. ➢ Inspect your work and that of others to ensure that the vehicle is delivered with a fit and finish equal or superior to the original factory fit and finish. ➢ Remain conscious of, and make every effort to achieve the objectives outlined on the delivery list of cars scheduled. Sometimes this requires working overtime to meet the objectives. ➢ Upon completion of a job, or nearing completion of a job, advise the production manager and request a new assignment. ➢ Maintain a good work attitude and cooperate with managers and fellow employees in a positive spirit of teamwork. ➢ Follows instructions from Supervisor regarding order of vehicle clean-up. ➢ Expected to notify Supervisors of any cosmetic defects/damages on the vehicle. ➢ Expected to complete Quality Inspection Sheet after vehicle clean-up.
