Evening Custodian – Temple Isaiah (Lexington, MA) Temple Isaiah in Lexington is seeking a reliable and motivated Evening Custodian to join our facilities team. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM Responsibilities include: General cleaning and upkeep of building spaces Repairs and basic maintenance as needed Setting up and staging rooms for events (tables, chairs, staging, etc.) Supporting evening programs, activities, and community dinners Ensuring compliance with fire safety rules and regulations Requirements: Prior custodial/maintenance experience Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Must live within 30 minutes of Lexington and have reliable transportation Ability to communicate by email and/or text Must pass a clean CORI background check Knowledge of fire safety procedures preferred Compensation: Competitive hourly pay; details provided during interview. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED: Strong communication and customer skills. Must be willing to work 40 hours a week. Ability to cope with change, meet deadlines and make decisions in a timely manner. Valid drivers license and clear criminal background check. Ability to work in confined spaces and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds. Basic knowledge of hand tools, including electric and battery-powered equipment. DAY to DAY RESPONSIBILITIES: Servicing Extinguishers in preparation for weekly distribution. Field work across various locations in MA. Driving Company Van to and from job sites. In-House Maintenance and Recharging Fire Extinguishers. Fire Equipment Certificate of Competency (R46 MA License-Portable Fire Extinguisher) is a plus. We are willing to train the right candidate(s) to become licensed (R46) within the allotted time frame. Hourly Pay $25.00 to $35.00 plus Commissions, Bonus’s and Benefits await you.
