Job Summary: Fill cylinders with various gases—stargon, argon, oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide. Back-up route sales driver. This position requires a Class B CDL driver’s license with a Hazmat endorsement. Duties include: • Maintain pumps, vacuum and liquid. • Accurate and timely completion of paperwork per FDA requirements. • Check cylinders for dates and damage. • Be available to perform route sales and deliveries when the regular route sales driver is unavailable. • Put away empty cylinders from the dock. • Support Outside Sales personnel. • Night and weekend on-call as necessary. • Keep outside storage area and lots clean and safe. Requirements include: • 2 years customer service/sales experience • Good driving record with Class B CDL driver’s license with a Hazmat endorsement. • Understanding of welding terminology and equipment a plus. • Industry experience such as handling cylinders and/or previous knowledge of gases, filling procedures, paperwork and plant operations. • Ability to work independently, establish priorities and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision. • Effective oral and written communication skills and basic customer service experience, training skills for in person, verbal and written training objectives. • Must be organized, have good reasoning skills, math aptitude and time management skills. • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet use. • Must pass DOT drug screen, physical and background check.
