We are hiring an electrical engineer to design and implement complex industrial electrical and control systems. To do well in this role you should have extensive experience as an electrical engineer, with a focuses on power systems (480VAC), control systems (24VDC), and programming architecture and integration. Electrical Engineer Responsibilities: • Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes. • Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment. • Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects. • Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications or technical drawings. • Establishing construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations. • Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities. • Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies. • Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials. • Supervising or training project team members. • Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation. • Working with a variety of technicians. NOTICE OF WORK ENVIRONMENT & OCCUPATIONAL HAZARDS The wastewater industry can be hazardous due to exposure to biological and chemical hazards, as well as physical dangers, including but not limited to, confined spaces, slips, falls, wet and/or humid conditions, high and/or low altitude, moving mechanical parts, high and/or precarious places, fumes and/or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, vibration, sewage, epoxy coatings, solvents, and excessive noise levels. Employees may come in contact with wastewater which contains human waste. Wastewater contains various bacteria, viruses, and parasites that can cause diseases in humans and animals. Workers can be exposed through contact with wastewater, aerosols containing pathogens, or contaminated equipment. Wastewater treatment processes also involve the use of various chemicals, some of which can be toxic or corrosive. It is imperative that employees wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols. While not mandatory, it is also highly recommended that employees stay current with vaccinations, including Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Tetanus, and Diphtheria.
