Aloha Nursing Rehab Centre is a medium sized Long Term Care facility in Kaneohe that operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week. We are looking for hard-working and dependable candidates to join our team in the Environmental Services Department. Full-time positions available immediately! Housekeeping duties include maintaining the facility in a clean and sanitary manner according to established standards, observing proper cleaning and disinfecting techniques and requires walking and standing for most cleaning duties, frequent kneeling and bending to clean low areas. Able to push/pull utility carts in excess of approximately 200 pounds. Able to lift supplies up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Frequent handling of a variety of commercial detergents, cleaning solutions and cleaners. Laundry duties include general laundering tasks to ensure an adequate supply of clean linen and clothing are on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents according to established standards. Requires walking and standing for majority of washing duties. Frequent bending and reaching for linens and supplies, lifting/carrying up to twenty-five (25) pounds of supplies and pushing/ pulling laden utility carts in excess of approximately 200 pounds. Frequent handling of a variety of commercial detergents and cleaners. Environmental team members require the ability to use common cleaning implements such as mops, vacuum cleaners, etc. Exposure to infections, odors and peculiarities in the behavior of aged residents. Must be able to read, write and speak English, follow oral and written orders and instructions in English while maintaining effective and courteous communication with other staff, residents, families and other visitors. Team work is a must!
