Looking to work in the beautiful city of North Lake Tahoe? Look no further! This is the position for you! We are looking for Senior Level Framing and Finish Carpenters for a General Contractor (specializing in custom home building and remodeling) in Incline Village, NV. Locally owned company with 20 year history and reputation for building quality custom homes is seeking experienced Journeyman Level Framing and Finish Carpenter. We work on high-end customer homes in North Lake Tahoe and Reno only. No work in California! Job Duties: Performs a variety of typical construction activities with an emphasis on, but not limited to, all aspects of framing and finish carpentry tasks. Erects Scaffolding Installs trim packages –interior and exterior e.g. baseboards, casing, window & door trim, etc. Fabricates & installs closet systems and hardware Prepares and installs siding, facia, trusses, sheeting, etc. Performs demolitions tasks related to remodel projects Installs miscellaneous cabinets, fixtures, finish items, etc. Fabricates and/or Installs a variety of different types of stair railings, handrails, skirt boards, balusters, etc. Installs door hardware i.e. door handles, lock sets, hinges, door stops and other hardware Performs layout, prepares take-offs, Door and window installation, flashing, insulation and related tasks Fabricates, installs, repairs and remodels deck structures, railings, deck boards, handrails, etc. Installs all types of structural components per plans e.g. hold downs, sheeting, flooring, joists, headers, shear panels, trusses and all related items. Familiar with and comfortable operating all types of construction power tools, hand tools and equipment e.g. skill saws, chop saws, nail/glue/caulk guns, roto-hammers, mixers, drills, etc. Works closely with and assists other trades in the smooth operation of their duties to facilitate a timely and quality outcome. The tasks outlined above are representative of, but not limited to, the duties and responsibilities as may be required. Requirements: 1. Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience with most typical residential construction duties. This is typically achieved from working at least 5 (five) years as an apprentice through journeyman carpenter while working for a general contractor. 2. Must have own standard hand tools and bag (we will provide all additional tools needed for the projects) 3. OSHA 10 safety card - OSHA 30 Preferred 4. Valid NV/CA Driver’s License 5. Proper documentation to work legally in the United States 6. Reliable transportation - WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS 7. Must be willing to drive to and from work sites in Incline Village, NV 8. Physically able to lift & perform the required duties & tasks associated with construction tasks 9. Experience with erecting scaffolding Standard 40 hr./week Mon-Fri work schedule - 8am-4:30pm Benefits: PAID TIME OFF AND PAID HOLIDAYS; No weekend work. **We are looking for carpenters with a minimum of 6+ years in framing and finish carpentry. ****This position is also open to Construction Project Managers and Superintendents.
