Job responsibilities: Works under direct supervision of a crew leader for the purpose of learning the following basic skills: Setting up and oiling forms Laying mesh Tying reinforcing bars Tying steel Setting inserts Striking off Stripping forms Cleaning up Shows consistent improvement in the ability to perform work utilizing these skills. Takes the initiative to remain involved in productive work throughout the workday, either by performing work related to fabrication of precast concrete products or by informing the Crew Leader of availability to perform other tasks. Functions as a team player, and looks for ways to improve the way work is done Assumes responsibility for maintaining plant safety in accordance with the Enterprise Properties, Inc. Safety Manual and the direction of the Safety Coordinator. Requirements Ability to understand verbal and written instructions. Ability to consistently produce a quality product. Ability to learn new skills based upon customer requirements. Ability to calculate area and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of geometry. We are a warehouse based near JFK Airport needing a warehouse worker that has experience in performing piece counts and inspections of products on a daily basis. The type of products we do inspections on are mainly electronic parts where you need to read the serial number from the item and verify the quantity of units for each item. Then once the products are inspected, they will need to be packed accordingly for shipping either on a pallet or loose boxes.
