Used 2009 Chevy Impala LT-1 - $1,500 (Brownsville)

NOTE THAT THE PRICE IS SOMEWHAT NEGOTIABLE, SINCE I WANT TO BE FAIR ABOUT SELLING IT, AND WILL CONSIDER ALL REASONABLE OFFERS. I purchased this vehicle (2nd owner) in 2012, and it has been extremely reliable and trustworthy. It runs very well, has NEVER failed to start, even in the dead of winter, and is still a joy to drive, however, it does have a few issues, as listed below: THE GOOD: 1. Most of the mechanical & electrical parts are original or OEM replacements. 2. It has been maintained with regular oil & filter changes every 3000-5000 miles (last one in April 2025), Air & cabin filter replacements, tire rotations, balances and alignments. 3. It has Goodyear Assurance Comfort Drive tires on it, which were purchased in 2024, with only about 13,000 miles on them, with a lifetime rotate & balance plan. Also, a full-sized Goodyear spare tire with a never used steel rim is included. 4. The interior is in very good condition, with only minor wear & tear. 5. The headlight assemblies were replaced in 2023, with LED bulbs installed for the low & high beams. 6. The front suspension was rebuilt and all 4 struts were replaced in 2022. 7. The Front Brake pads & rotors were replaced with OEM parts in 2023, and the rear ones in 2020. 8. The radiator was flushed & refilled with new coolant June 2024, and a new radiator cap was installed. 9. The windshield was replaced by Safe Light in 2023, with a lifetime warranty. 10. Most of the records for other repairs/replacements are available upon request. The Bad: 1. The computer interface with the TPMS system does not work, but could be made to function with a new module. 2. The computer interface for the Airbag monitoring sensor does not work, but could be made functional with the disassembly, cleaning & reassembly of the connector under the passenger’s seat. 3. The check engine light shows a code for either a faulty O2 sensor or an exhaust bank sensor, both of which can easily be replaced. The UGLY: In 2021, it suffered exterior hail damage to the hood, roof, left front fender, door, and trunk lid, therefore the paint & body on the left side are not in great condition, but the right side is in fairly good condition. This is shown as well as possible in the photos. So, even if purchased only as a "parts car", there are a lot of valuable OEM & replacement parts that could be used to repair other Impala's of that era with minimal effort.
