Position Overview We seek an experienced Nurse Practitioner for a primary care role in a government-owned facility in Oklahoma. Nurse Practitioner serves as an advanced practice provider delivering high-level, patient-centered care to diverse populations within Oklahoma’s state agencies and facilities. Operating with a significant degree of autonomy, the NP is responsible for comprehensive health assessments, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic illnesses. The NP formulates and implements treatment plans, prescribes medications, and orders diagnostic tests within the scope of Oklahoma law. This role collaborates closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care. The NP also provides patient and family education, promotes preventive care, and may participate in policy development, quality improvement initiatives, and staff mentoring. The position requires advanced clinical judgment, adaptability to a variety of clinical settings, and a commitment to evidence-based practice and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and health assessments. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions within the NP’s scope of practice. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans. Prescribe medications, therapeutic interventions, and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
