Seeking an experienced Industrial Controls Technician to join our team. In this role, you will oversee and maintain the technological infrastructure of a large commercial-style residential estate. The ideal candidate will not only maintain and troubleshoot critical estate systems but also develop and implement engineering-driven optimizations to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance. Key Areas of Responsibility & Accountability • Integrate engineering solutions to improve system efficiency and automation across all systems (e.g. diesel fire pump, fire sprinkler system, fire alarm systems, irrigation system, UPS and transfer switch (integrated with generator), electrical power distribution, natural gas installation, garage air compressor system, hydraulic systems, electrical gates, HVAC and exhaust systems, cameras, and audio/visual systems). • Utilize the building automation software (BAS) to monitor and control all main systems. • Troubleshoot and install new components to existing networks and controls. • Troubleshoot and coordinate large repairs with external vendors. • Ensure projects with external companies are completed on time and within budget, while adhering to contractual terms. • Ensure all system upgrades align with safety codes, building regulations, and best practices for efficiency and sustainability. • Keep detailed logs of inspections, maintenance activities, and system modifications. Requirements • Experience in managing medium-to-large commercial/industrial systems (e.g. hospital, hotel). Ability to integrate modern technology controls. • Employ high standards and best practices for coding, documentation, research, and testing. • Experience in building automation software (BAS) programming. • Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics for industrial control systems. • Good verbal communication, organization, and time management skills, with strong attention to detail when completing tasks. • Be a team player capable of forming smooth working relationships with other team members, based on mutual respect and willingness to help. • Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality. • Ability to respond to after-hour emergencies. • Useful, but not required: Hands-on experience in software/hardware engineering; Bilingual (English and Spanish)
