2 Positions open in our Public Works Dept. at Village of Kings Point. Typical Duties: 1) Perform a variety of manual or laboring tasks such as maintaining all Village roads and properties which includes clean and clear all debris from roads during a storm, asphalt repair, Belgium block and concrete curb, repair and rebuild catch basins and drainage pipes, cut grass, trim trees and bushes, weeding and mulching, planting of flowers and plants and snow plowing in connection with and or in addition to the operation of equipment including loading and unloading of equipment and supplies. 2) Operate intermediate construction vehicles such as small dump trucks and pickup trucks. 3) Operate and maintain automotive equipment and power equipment such as trucks, SUV, payloaders, backhoe loader, roller, lawn mowers and blowers, snowplows and salters, compressor, line paint applicator and remover, all power equipment owned by the Village. 4) Must be available during emergencies Qualifications: 1) Completion of twelve grade education 2) Must possess a CDL (B) license or CDL permit or obtain one within 6 months of being hired 3) Clean driving record 4) Must pass a pre-employment physical

The Director of Campus Safety & Transportation Coordinator, reporting to the Associate Head of School for Finance and Operations  is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic planning, and daily operations of campus safety and transportation services. This position coordinates with local government, public safety officials, law enforcement, other first responders, and the third party transportation provider. They ensure a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors while also managing efficient and accessible transportation programs that support the institution’s mission and values. Performs additional tasks as required to support department and school goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Campus Safety Leadership: Develop and enforce comprehensive and consistent safety and security policies and procedures, including emergency management and response, inclement weather monitoring, risk and accident prevention, visitor management, student transportation, parking control, and traffic enforcement. Lead and supervise campus safety team of (3). Oversee campus emergency response planning and execution, including drills and coordination with local law enforcement and emergency services. Conduct regular risk assessments and campus safety audits and maintain proper documentation. Develop and deliver safety training and awareness programs for the campus community. Manage the handheld radio communications system. Foster strong relationships with and serve as liaison to police, fire, medical, and other public safety officials. Partner with IT and Facilities to supervise, monitor, and maintain technical security systems such as security cameras, access control, intrusion alarms, and key (fob) distribution. Create and distribute ID Cards for all faculty, staff and students. Manage and review all reports of suspicious and or criminal activity on school grounds; maintains statistics and conducts appropriate investigations as necessary.
