Description In this role, you will serve as the on-site medical authority, ensuring patients receive correct dosage along with a healthy amount of education and counseling. Communicate restrictions with the dispensary team to ensure any limitations on product selection/quantity. Provide timely and accurate medication information to patients over the phone and in-person. Educate new and existing patients about the properties and benefits of cannabis. Consult patients and assess patient’s certification to recommend the best course of treatment. Responsible to stay up to date on current research and information related to cannabis. Develop a deep understanding of cannabis forms, dosing, drug interactions, and side effects Understand the efficacy of variance strains, potencies, and methods of delivery. Pharmacists may assist with additional dispensary tasks, as General Manager deems fit. Secure coverage for any time off (paid time off or unpaid time off). Schedule changes must be communicated with management in advance and expect to follow fair scheduling practices. Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
