Independent Medical Exam must be completed within 50 miles of Hazel Park, MI. Requirements As Physician Reviewer/Advisor, you will utilize clinical expertise and reviews insurance appeals, and prospective and retrospective claims. The Physician Reviewer will provide an interpretation of the medical necessity of services provided by other healthcare professionals in compliance with client specific policies, nationally recognized evidence-based guidelines, and standards of care. The Osteopathic Principles and Practices (OPP) physician faculty member works to assure osteopathic philosophy, and principles are taught throughout the curriculum. Primary responsibilities involve teaching, mentoring, and evaluating osteopathic medical students in the OPP courses of first and second years, as well as the third and fourth years. Other responsibilities may include instruction in courses beyond the OPP curriculum, student advising, student recruitment, retention and placement efforts. Responsibilities Develop and deliver high-quality lectures and hands-on laboratory sessions. Create an engaging and interactive learning environment that fosters student comprehension and retention. Participate in curriculum design and assessment, ensuring content remains relevant and up to date. Provide guidance and support to students in their academic and professional development. Supervisory Responsibilities None Requirements Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from a COCA-accredited medical school, with an active medical license for the state of Idaho. (Transitioning DOs to the state of Idaho must have an active license within 3 months of hire). Board certification or board eligible by the appropriate AOA specialty board, as required. Experience teaching Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) / Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (NMM). Experience with curricular and instructional design and training or experience in educational theory and/or evaluation preferred.
