This technologist is able to evolve with radiology information system (RIS) and PACS systems. This technologist must participate in performance improvement activities in the department. Maintains appropriate quality control records and participates in routine equipment testing and maintenance. Additionally, this Mammography Technologist must be willing to train and interact with students and new hires when necessary. Our licensed Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic breast imaging and procedures. This technologist must be able to produce ACR quality images in both diagnostic and screening exams. This technologist is able to interact with clinicians and other departments to coordinate patient care. Requirements Skills and Certifications [note: bold skills and certification are required] Minimum of 3 or more years of Mammography experience ARRT Mammography Certification CRT Radiology License Graduate of a formal radiology technology-training program in an AMA approved school. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammographic imaging to aid in the detection and diagnosis of breast diseases. You will work closely with patients and healthcare staff to provide compassionate and thorough imaging services. Key Responsibilities: Conduct screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in compliance with regulatory and safety standards. Prepare patients by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout the imaging process. Operate mammography equipment safely and maintain quality control records for imaging devices. Perform breast ultrasound and stereotactic biopsies as needed. Document patient information and imaging results accurately in the electronic health record systems.
