Perks and Benefits! -Full-time, Monday - Friday schedule -Up to 15 Vacation Days and 10 sick days within first year! -Comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, and vision) -Retirement plan options with employer matching -Internal promotions and growth opportunities -Access to paid training and certifications -Meaningful work that positively impacts the community -Clear values and mission-driven organization ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Program and Participant Planning: -Day-to-day maintenance, implementation, and development of assigned curriculum. -Assist in the design of weekly activity schedules utilizing participant outcomes as a guide. -Assist in designing activities inclusive of community participation, integration, and participant interests, dreams, and desires. -Create, evaluate, modify, and implement individual participant service plans (AIMS) outcomes under the direction of the assigned participant advocate, team leader, and/or program manager. -Assist social center staff in developing, evaluating, and modifying services to promote a quality program for all participants. -Communicate social center needs to team leader and participate in social center staff meetings. -Assist in the design of activities that utilize participant outcomes as a curriculum guide. -Understand all aspects of social center participant outcomes, dreams, desires, and use them in activity planning. -Ensure implementation of individualized participant routines as established by the team leader and participant advocate. Participant Support: -Stay familiar with all aspects of social center participants' AIMS plans, including behavior challenges, dietary needs, medical needs (allergies, medication, etc.). -Communicate day-to-day needs with social center participant families/care providers to ensure clothing, money, lunch needs, etc., are met. -Implement and follow participant behavior programs. -Encourage and support participant growth in choice and independent decision-making. -Provide participant training in functional work skills and personal habits. -Enhance participants' functional mobility. Reporting and Documentation: -Assume ongoing administrative duties as required. -Complete area documentation, data sheets, outcomes, and all reports (File Dictations, Seizure Reports, Data Tracking Forms, other regulatory agency reporting requirements) in a timely manner ensuring accuracy of report content. -Provide timely written reports containing recommendations for participants. -Maintain participant files, time sheets, and other relevant data in an organized and confidential manner. -Write accurate and timely seizure, incident reports, and file dictations. -Maintain daily and weekly data on participant progress. -Prepare and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work setting. Staff Collaboration and Communication: -Communicate routinely with social center team leader on participant progress, areas of concern, and curriculum ideas/expansion. -Communicate relevant and necessary information to co-workers, team leaders, participant advocates, and managers. -Attend social center staff meetings and IDT meetings as requested. -Attend annual review meetings for all participants in social center. -Attend meetings with other outside agencies and parties as requested. -Present written and oral reports in a professional manner. -Prepare for and participate in weekly social center staff meetings. Attendance and Professional Development: -Regular, punctual, and predictable attendance at work. -Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and program-wide trainings that promote professional growth. -Complete the College of Direct Support online coursework. -Keep up with current developments in the field of developmental disabilities. -Be familiar with current law and community training resources. Workplace Upkeep and Safety: -Clean and maintain an orderly social center area (both inside and outside environments). -Maintain clean and safe general use areas. -Prepare and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work setting. License/Certification: California Driver's License (Required)
