Join a team that truly helps people. Position Overview: This role supports our Funeral Directors in delivering exceptional care and service to families during their time of need. The successful candidate will assist with crematory and funeral home operations, removals, and transfers (First Calls) from a variety of locations including private residences, hospitals, care facilities, and accident scenes. Schedule, M-F 08:30a-3:30p, some on-call availability for nights and weekends is necessary. Key Responsibilities: • Operate crematory equipment in accordance with safety and regulatory standards. • Assist with removals and transfers of decedents with professionalism and sensitivity. • Perform general facility maintenance and cleaning. • Maintain funeral home vehicles and ensure readiness for service. • Run errands and support logistical needs of funeral arrangements. • Provide compassionate support to families and uphold the dignity of the deceased. Qualifications: • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. • Have the capacity to follow chain of custody procedures, complete paperwork in an accurate, legible manner and be willing to follow established policies and procedures. • Applicants are required to be physically fit and able to lift and transport decedents in a safe and respectful manner. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Prior experience in funeral services or crematory operations is preferred but not required. • Must have reliable transportation and live within a 25min. commute of our Cottage Grove facility. • Position requires a professional appearance and appropriate attire. • Must be 21 Years of Age or older. • Must possess high school diploma or GED equivalent. • Ability to pass background check.
