EL COMAL is Hiring! Authentic Mexican food restaurant is looking for a Waiter/Waitress A friendly, energetic, and reliable Waiter/Waitress is sought to join the team. This person will play a key role in ensuring guests have a positive dining experience, from greeting them to taking orders, serving food and drinks, and processing payments. This person should thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy interacting with people. Responsibilities: Greet and seat guests with a warm and welcoming attitude. Present menus and answer questions about menu items, specials, and ingredients. Take accurate food and beverage orders, using a POS system (or other method). Relay orders to the kitchen staff efficiently. Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously. Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any needs or concerns. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently. Clear and reset tables promptly. Assist with restaurant cleanliness and organization. Adhere to all sanitation and safety guidelines. Upsell food and beverage items as appropriate. Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress or in a similar customer service role is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Basic math skills. Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
