The Saloon of Mt. Lebanon is looking for a part time line cook. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal service during peak hours. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality. Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal offerings. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to management. Uphold high standards of presentation for all dishes served. Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring exceptional service and quality. Requirements Proven experience in a kitchen environment Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with dietary department practices and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus. Excellent knife skills and understanding of food safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a fast-paced environment.
