DELIVERY DRIVER FOR BREAD COMPANY (Long Island City)

Pain d'Avignon is a small business with a serious passion for the craft of bread and pastry making, and for the enjoyment of eating them. We produce fresh breads and pastries daily from our commissary in Long Island City for our wholesale clients, as well as our retail locations located throughout the city. Our fleet is rapidly growing and we are currently seeking drivers to join our team! Please review the list of responsibilities. If you believe you will be a match then we want to hear from you! Please reply with with your resume. Pay: $22-$25 per hour, prior experience, and with clean license. Candidates must have: A clean NYS License - NO CDL required. Please be prepared to bring in your driver's abstract if called for interview. Driving experience. Strong work ethics Be responsible, and reliable - Shift starts at 2am, Saturday, and Sunday availability a must. Two consecutive days off during the week. Must be authorized to work in the USA. W2 We provide: -Benefits ( health, vision, dental) -401K, 401K with employer matching -Paid vacation time after 1 year of employment. -Pre-tax commuter benefits -Stability -Future growth Role and Responsibilities • Drive van to transport breads to and from specified destinations. • Obey traffic laws and follow all applicable State and federal regulations. • Turn in receipts/ invoices and money received from deliveries. • Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers. • Load and unload delivery vans. • Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, in accordance with regulations. • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition. Unsafe vehicles should not be driven until the condition is corrected. • Proper use of time management to ensure on timely deliveries. • Receive radio or telephone contact from the supervisor to receive a clear instruction. • Always in uniform. • Provide overall excellent customer service. • May work early mornings, holidays and weekends.
