All Time Restaurant Hiring Lead Baker (Los Feliz)

Hiring: Lead Baker. We are looking for an experienced full time bread baker to support our in house bread program. We bake our own sourdough bread, baguettes, focaccia, pastry, and other goods daily to support both a retail window as well as our full menu for AM and PM services. We are seeking a team member who is collaborative, has a strong sense of integrity, and enjoys a fast-paced environment working with the highest quality ingredients and real food from the best sources and farmers. A well-rounded culinary background with bread baking / pastry production is ideal, and fluency in both English and Spanish is also ideal; being able to effectively communicate in both languages will be necessary. Other attributes for success in this role include: strong organizational skills, product knowledge, an appreciation and aptitude for detail, passion for ingredients, and a desire to be part of a great team. We are a busy neighborhood restaurant with two head Chefs and a Prep Lead, with whom you’d work closely to support. An emphasis on communication, quality control, collaboration, creativity, and excellence is crucial. The baking department is in our prep kitchen, and some aspects of the role require good decision making, autonomy / self-motivation, and the ability to work without micro management or direct supervision at every moment of the shift. Some parts of the job you will be baking alone in our quiet prep kitchen, at other times you will be in the midst of the team and a higher energy.
