We're a new neighborhood diner in the heart of Bed Stuy and we're looking for a fast, friendly, upbeat, and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to round out our team! The position starts at $24 hourly, moving to $26 hourly after 6 weeks and then $30 hourly after 12 weeks. The position starts as a 4 day, AM only work week at 30 hours to start and culminating with a 5 day, AM only 40 hour work once training is completed. Weekends are required. We are a small restaurant and as such the kitchen supervisor MUST have strong leadership skills, be a HIGH level short order cook and have strong organizational skills. You must be comfortable and confident enough expedite and lead a busy kitchen, have 15 tickets on the board and not flinch. A valid NYC food handlers permit is required as well as experience upholding DOH compliance. Duties include but are not limited to: Ordering and inventory, DOH compliance, oversight of daily service, as well as menu and processes optimization. We have a relatively simple menu as well as a solid team in place, this can be an amazing opportunity for the right person looking to put their stamp on a fantastic up and coming restaurant.
