Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic, full-time Art Sales Consultant who is passionate about art, customer engagement, and building relationships with collectors. This role is ideal for someone with a background in art sales, who thrives in a creative setting and is driven by both personal and gallery success. You will work closely with clients to curate their collections, help them explore the emotional and aesthetic impact of the art, and communicate the story behind each piece. Key Responsibilities: • Proactively engage with gallery visitors, providing personalized tours and consultations. • Develop strong relationships with new and existing collectors, tailoring your approach to each client’s needs and interests. • Understand and communicate the background, meaning, and significance of the artwork displayed, connecting it with buyers on an emotional and intellectual level. • Maintain and update client information in the gallery’s CRM system, following up with clients regularly to foster ongoing relationships. • Assist with gallery events and exhibitions, ensuring smooth operations and a positive experience for attendees. • Collaborate with the gallery director and artists to stay up to date on the latest collections and trends in contemporary art. Qualifications: • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the art, luxury, or high-end retail industry. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage with people of various backgrounds and connect them to the art. • A strong passion for contemporary art and a desire to share it with others. • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. • Highly organized with an attention to detail. • Experience using CRM systems or similar tools is a plus. • Must be available to work weekends and gallery events.
