Position Includes: -Providing direct service to individuals with intellectual, mental, and/or developmental disabilities in home, work, community and school settings; -Teaching, coaching, and supporting staff, caregivers, and/or parents; -Participation in program development; -Monitoring support delivery and progress; -Writing progress reports; -Collaborating with supportive Hayden Consultant team. Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED with relevant experience. - Possess CA driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation; - Ability to pass and maintain DOJ clearance; TB screening. Preferred Qualifications: - BCBA highly preferred. - Enrolled in BCBA- or BCaBA eligible coursework (e.g. trainee). - Moderate/Severe Special Ed Teaching Credential (Education Specialist Credential - ESC). - Coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Positive Behavioral Support (PBS), and work experience collaborating with parents/stakeholders of children with special needs. -Bachelors degree in psychology, education, or related discipline; - Case supervision experience. - Spanish-Speaking.

Join our team of dedicated educators as we bring New Orleans area students to experience Earth Science in T.R.E.E.'s forested Outdoor Classrooms! We are NOW HIRING Educators for Overnight Programs (part-time). RESPONSIBILITIES: ● Teach 5th and 7th grade students in a science curriculum-based program outdoors ● Manage behaviors in full-class as well as smaller groups ● Mealtime duties ● Special projects and light maintenance of the facility ● Set-up and clean-up ● Consistently contribute to the 6-member teaching team PROGRAMS AND ANTICIPATED DATES: Sunship Earth (5th grade) is a five-day residential, overnight program. Staff is required to stay on-site for the full five days and four nights. Programs run Friday through Tuesday. The program site is T.R.E.E.’s Outdoor Classroom in Covington, Louisiana. Two sessions are anticipated between mid-November and early-December 2025. Employee is expected to work all program sessions. Sunship III (7th grade) is a three-day residential, overnight program. Staff is required to stay on-site for the full three days and two nights. Programs are also conducted at T.R.E.E.’s Outdoor Classroom in Covington, Louisiana. Six sessions are anticipated between January and early April 2026. Earth Educators are expected to work all program sessions. A full-time, paid, two-week training for teaching the Sunship Earth program begins early November 2025. There will be one week of training for the Sunship III program in December 2025 or early January 2026. Attendance for training is mandatory for all Earth Educator positions.
