Bookkeeping / Finance · Maintaining records of all financial transactions · Ensuring legal and tax requirement compliance · Cash receipts and supplier invoices . Comply with financial policies and regulations · Knowledge of both cash and accrual accounting · Prepare budgets · Collaborate with external parties in the yearly accounting review · Prepare, distribute and present financial statements on time · Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, petty cash, retail sales, and investment holdings · Sales tax payments and quarterly returns · Monthly reporting for worker’s compensation · Ensure financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups · Oversee non-profit accounting and provide directions to its bookkeeper. Payroll Processing Process bi-weekly payroll and coordinate with our payroll processing company. HR support Maintain employee records and provide information as needed Basic knowledge of employment labor laws and requirements. Answer questions related to HR matters as needed. Financial Planning & Management Prepare budgets and financial projections for monthly meetings. Monthly financial reporting Correlate with company’s CPA and a committee for financial and banking matters Administrative Maintain employee’s files and update them as needed Manage and maintain up to date records of vacation, holidays and benefits Requirements Minimum five years’ experience as an accountant Experience with general ledger functions Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Agriculture and non-profit experience is a plus QuickBooks online and Microsoft Office Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines Professional work ethics and mannerisms Self-Driven, efficient and able to work with minimum supervision Be able to develop positive relationships with vendors, suppliers and other internal and external customers Education BS in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus Job Type Part Time: 2-3 Days (17 - 21 hours / week). Flexible hours. No remote work. Will consider an independent contractor option.
