Responsibilities Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs Coding invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests, etc., with correct codes conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system. Handle vendor correspondence via phone or email Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records and reports. Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors Processing due invoices for payments Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges Purchase Order Requisition Assign New Job Numbers per Company Workflow Process and Procedure Work with Controller on Assigned Tasks Support Accounting Department as Necessary Other Duties as Necessary and Assigned Requirements 2 years experience in accounts payable. Experience in industrial construction is preferred. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. A proactive problem-solving attitude with the ability to work independently.
