Peer Support Specialist - M-F - full or Part time, Cottonwood (Cottonwood, AZ)

Peer Support Specialist -This Peer Support Specialist position works 40 hours a week guaranteed Monday through Friday. Benefits included: 14 paid holidays, plus after the first year there is one week paid vacation. This also includes paid medical, dental and life insurance, plus there is also vision, telehealth and matching 401k available. Starting wage is $16.00 per hour. This is an entry level low stress and life balanced position, with exceptional growth possibilities to which wages can increase rapidly. Part-time (29 hours a week) is also available. Behavioral Health Paraprofessional (BHPP) to Provide recovery support services in various settings to peers within the community to support, educate and provide services to advance recovery and wellness. - Assist peer members using recognized evidence-based practice peer support services to articulate their goals for recovery, while they learn and practice new skills, aiding them to monitor their progress, that supports them in their treatment; while modeling effective coping techniques and self-help strategies based on the peer support specialist's own recovery experience. - Give support to the Peer member, helping them advocate for themselves to obtain effective services, and to develop and implement their personal recovery plans. - Ability to teach socialization skills to individual peer members. Minimum Qualifications: • Clear a background check and be free of major criminal offenses. • A current and valid Arizona driver's license with an acceptable 60 month MVR. • If in recovery, must be stable for over one year. • Pass a drug test. Education : • HS diploma or GED from an accredited US educational institution.
