





HEX Superette is a unique local market, kitchen, and bar located in the Govans neighborhood of Baltimore. Our space brings that mission to life through exceptional products, warm hospitality, and community events. We are seeking a Prep and Line Cook (with Dish Support) to join our small, tight-knit team. This hands-on role combines food preparation, cooking, baking, and dishwashing support within a collaborative kitchen that values scratch cooking, fermentation, and seasonal ingredients. Baking experience is a strong plus, and for the right person, this is an opportunity to grow skills and take on a meaningful role in a thoughtful, creative culinary space. Schedule: Wednesday: 4:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Thursday: 4:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Friday: 10:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. Saturday: 10:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. Sunday: 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. What you’ll do: Prepare and cook menu items consistently, efficiently, and with care Wash dishes and maintain kitchen cleanliness during service Bake breads (we make lots of focaccia!) and assist with seasonal baking projects Use local, seasonal ingredients creatively—minimizing waste and maximizing flavor Participate in ferment prep and learn from our experienced kitchen team Keep your station clean, organized, and up to health code standards Communicate clearly and respectfully with teammates to ensure smooth service What we’re looking for: 1+ year of kitchen experience (though we will train the right person) Baking experience is a plus and should be supported by references Passion for scratch cooking, fermentation, and local, seasonal ingredients Desire to learn and improve your craft Reliability, teamwork, and good communication What we offer: $16–$18 per hour, based on experience Paid breaks Paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidays after 90 days 25% employee discount The kitchen manager speaks fluent Spanish.
