Job Title: Lead Sauna Installer / Crew Manager - Construction & Electrical Focus
Location: Denver Metro Area (Base/Travel Required)
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Rate of $40.00 per hour for hourly projects and Flat-Fee per Installation (based on complexity and skill level). Higher rate for licensed electricians on electrical jobs.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled, and dynamic Lead Sauna Installer / Crew Manager to oversee and execute the professional installation of custom and pre-fabricated saunas across the Front Range and Mountain regions of Colorado (from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs, Metro to Mountains).
This role requires a unique blend of carpentry knowledge, electrical knowledge, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate must be a proactive problem-solver—someone who can "think on their feet" to manage site-specific challenges and ensure projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Technical Execution
Lead Hands-on Installation: Direct and participate in all phases of sauna installation, including framing, paneling, bench construction, and final finishing. Carpentry knowledge is helpful and general familiarity will go far, but 85% of installs will be pre-fab DIY units which come with pre-cut and labeled parts and detailed instructions and videos.
Electrical Installation & Compliance: Perform or oversee all necessary electrical wiring for sauna heaters, controls, and lighting. A strong working knowledge of residential electrical is required; a Licensed Electrician is a huge advantage and will receive premium rates for electrical-heavy projects.
Quality Control & Problem Solving: Serve as the final authority on site quality. Proactively identify and resolve technical, logistical, or structural challenges that arise during installation, utilizing on-the-spot critical thinking and ingenuity.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate company vehicles and a forklift for the loading, unloading, and staging of materials on job sites.
Crew Management & Operations
Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and motivate a crew of installers, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to schedules, and professional conduct. This will start small with most likely one person acting as Assistant Installer, but growth is imminent in this space and we are looking for someone to grow with us.
Scheduling & Logistics: Coordinate with management on project timelines, manage daily crew assignments, and ensure all necessary materials and tools are secured for each job.
Recruitment & Training: Identify, interview, and onboard new crew members as needed to meet growing project demand. Provide on-the-job training to maintain consistent quality across all teams.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce all company and OSHA safety standards on site, ensuring a safe working environment for the crew and protection of client property.
Client & Administrative
Customer Service: Maintain clear, professional, and positive communication with clients throughout the installation process, addressing concerns and confirming job satisfaction.
Reporting: Complete all job-related paperwork, including crew hours, material usage, and project completion reports accurately and promptly.
Travel: Drive company vehicles to job sites across the region (Fort Collins, Denver Metro, Colorado Springs, and Mountain communities). Residing near central Denver Metro area is a plus for operational efficiency. Longer drive times will include a travel stipend per job.
Qualifications and Skills
Proven Carpentry Skills (Must Have): Experience in fine-finish carpentry, framing, and general construction, with references for high-quality work a plus.
Electrical Knowledge (Must Have): Solid understanding of residential electrical systems, wiring, and safely connecting high-amperage appliances (sauna heaters).
Management Experience (Nice to Have): Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate an installation crew effectively.
Valid Driver's License & Clean Driving Record (Must Have): Required to operate company vehicles for travel to remote job sites.
Forklift Operator Experience (Nice to Have): Ability to safely load, unload, and move materials. This is trainable.
Soft Skills (Must Have): High degree of self-sufficiency, superior communication skills, a professional and clean appearance, and a genuine passion for problem-solving.
Highly Desired (Will Result in Premium Pay):
Current, Active State-Issued Electrician License.
Experience with custom sauna construction, steam rooms, or other specialized luxury installations.
Compensation Structure
Hourly Rate for hourly tasks: $40.00 per hour
Project Fee for installs: Flat-fee compensation is provided upon successful completion of each installation, with the fee amount varying based on project size and complexity.
Licensed Electrician Premium: Individuals with a current, active electrician license will receive a higher variable rate for jobs that require or utilize their licensed electrical expertise.
